飲むつもりで買ったワインが貯まってしまった。ワイン・コレクターではないが、どういう訳かストックが増えるばかり。購入するときには、必ず同一銘柄を最低２本買う。これは、１本しか買わないと、コルクを開けるのにためらいが生じるから。また、飲んでしまってストックが無くなると後悔するから。特に飲んだものが気に入った場合。我が家では、アルコール飲料の消費ナンバー・ワンはワインだ。2番目にビールかな。日本酒やウイスキーは、ストックが無い。ワインの購入価格は国内外でかなり開きがある。為替相場の影響もあるだろうが、海外で買った方がはるかに安い。海外に行ったとき必ず24本買ってくる。1人で運搬するのは24本が限度だ。税関では、ワインに係る税金は「果実種」扱いなのでウイスキー、ブランデーに比べ、はるかに安い。最近は、健康面からくる、「赤ワインブーム」らしいが、いつまで続くことやら。まあ、このブームで、酒類販売店でのワインの品揃えが増えて、購入しやすくなった事は歓迎できる。あとは、価格がもう少し安くなることを願う。
下の表は、我が家のワインストックだ。価格は購入時のもの（記録のある物だけ）。各ワインについての評価はしない。ワインに限らず、お酒はそれ単体で飲むより、料理と一緒に飲む方がはるかに美味しい。それと、同じワインでも家庭で飲むのとレストランで飲むのでは、全然味が違う。これは多分、その時の気持ちの影響か、ソムリエの腕がいいのだろう。
